Modern dance is different from ballet, it is freer flowing. Children will learn a different way to move their bodies. Children should wear form fitting and comfortable clothing with no shoes or socks.  Min 4/Max 8.

CLASS DESCRIPTION: Fit to Play
The Fit to Play program is designed to help children achieve good health through fun, heart raising games and activities that will build strength, endurance, flexibility and wise eating habits. Using fun active games and exercises, children learn to use the tool necessary to help make a healthy lifestyle change that can be shared with the whole family. Class runs from 1-1 1/2 hours. CLASS DESCRIPTION: Hoop Dance Class
Learn exhilarating moves with a hoop that create fluid-like dance movements. As you learn the FUNdamentals of hula hooping, you'll receive cardio and muscle toning benefits unlike what any other program can deliver. Using a specially designed, heavier hoop, Hoop Dancing works to build stronger, leaner core muscles. Perfect for any age, this class works to sculpt the entire body while having fun. Hoops are provided. Min 4/Max 20.

CLASS DESCRIPTION: American Red Cross Babysitter's Training

This training will provide girls and boys, ages 11-15, with the information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or adult guardians. This training will help participants develop skills in five critical areas: leadership, safety and safe play, basic care, first aid, and professionalism.  Students will need to bring: a snack lunch, pencil and baby doll or medium sized teddy bear for diapering practice.  Register and pay at the O'Brien Recreation office.  Class will be held at the O’Brien Recreation Center.
