Aquatic Classes:
The South Bend Parks and Recreation
offers various classes year round. We
have Learn to Swim Spring and Summer;
Aqua Aerobics year round at various
locations; and Lifeguard and Water
Safety Instructor classes in the Spring.

South Bend Swim Club:
We invite you to become part of our
team. The South Bend Swim Club is taking
registrations year round. Open to ages
seven and up and sponsored by the South
Bend Parks and Recreation Department.
Kennedy Water
Playground:
Fun is the keyword at Kennedy. This zero
entry interactive water playground is
full of fountains, nozzles, sprays, and
a slide. It is fully staffed by trained
lifeguards and also offers locker rooms
and a concession stand.
Potawatomi Pool:
All ages are welcome at Potawatomi with
its three different pool options. The
regulation sized pool has a 35 foot
water slide. There is a diving well with
a board and two slides, and the wading
pool has a spray feature for added
enjoyment.
East Race Waterway:
Located right in the heart of downtown
South Bend, the East Race is the first
man-made whitewater course in the United
States. There is a fully trained
lifeguard staff, so it doesn’t matter if
it is your first time rafting or you are
a seasoned professional.
