Enjoy the healthful benefits of Aquacise!
These classes are taught by certified
instructors and benefit the participant’s
cardiovascular system, and provide an overall
feeling of well being. Water adds resistance to
the exercise routine, while the buoyancy makes
the workout seem effortless. Classes are offered
at Jackson Intermediate Center (5001 S. Miami
Rd.) and Clay High School (19131 Darden Rd.).
Classes will meet on Mondays and Thursdays at
Jackson, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at Clay
High. Ability to swim is not necessary in order
to participate in aquacise classes.

Children’s Learn-to-Swim
Lessons for children ages 7 and up (and at
least 4 feet tall–no exceptions) are being
offered at Jackson Intermediate Center (5001 S.
Miami Rd.) and Clay High School (19131 Darden
Rd.). Lesson times begin on the hour from 9:00
am to 1:00 pm on Saturdays only. Level and class
time will be determined by the instructor at the
time of registration. You may register for your
immediate family members only. Parents are not
allowed to stay during lessons, but there is a
Parents Day when parents can attend.

Family Swim
Come and enjoy quality family time while
swimming at Clay High School. All ages and
abilities are welcome. There are lap lanes and
an open swim area where flotation devices may be
used.

Lifeguarding and WSI Classes
Classes will be offered county-wide. Clay High
School will have lifeguarding classes on
Wednesdays from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There will
be two sessions: the first is from February 10 to
March 31, the second is from April 14 to May 19.
Riley High School will also have a class on
Wednesday afternoons, 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm, from
March 3 to May 5 (no class on April 7). The cost
is $100 per person, and the participant must be
at least 15 years old. We would also like to
hold a Water Safety Instructor class at Clay on
Tuesday nights from 6:00pm to 9:00pm dates to be
determined. The cost is $100.00 and the
participant must be at least 16 years old.
All of these classes must have at least 6
